Pat and Christa Robey

How did you meet?

Pat and I met through my friend, Kristen. Her boyfriend was Pat’s roommate so she decided to introduce us one October night.

What activities did the campus offer couples

There were lots of activities for couples to go to together. We, of course, were at EVERY baseball game! Pat played short stop while I cheered him on. We also went to the football games together and other activities that SAU offered.

What did the two of you do for fun/dates?

Magnolia wasn’t the largest town but we always found something fun to do together. We went to the local restaurants, Cancun, Mule’s Cantina, Flying Burger, and Bayou Bistro often. We also went to the Cameo a few times to see movies. Shreveport and Texarkana weren’t that far away so we would go there occasionally.

How many years have you been together?

We have been together since November of 2007. We dated four years and then married in July of 2011. We will be celebrating our 5th year of marriage this year!

Are there any special memories of you two on campus?

Most of our memories happened around the baseball field and we will cherish those memories for a lifetime. We absolutely loved our college experience and are so grateful that we met at SAU!
