What kinds of events can I hold here?
The SAU Alumni Center is the perfect place to hold your next party, shower, meeting, cookout, brunch, and more. We also have a small conference room that can accommodate your needs to hold a small meeting or office for the day.
How many people does each room in the Alumni Center hold?
- The Winning Great Room seats up to 64 guests.
- The Lusby Hospitality Pavilion seats up to 140 guests.
Can I schedule a tour of the Center before my event?
Yes, we offer facility tours during regular operating hours. Give us a call at (870) 235-4094 to schedule yours.
*Regular operating hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our summer operating hours are Monday-Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
How long can I reserve the Alumni Center?
We rent the facility out on an hourly basis.
- SAU On-Campus Groups (After Hours) – $50 / hour
- Off-Campus Groups – $100 / hour
- Ask our coordinator about discounted daily rates. You can rent multiple full days if needed and available.
What do I need to bring to my event?
We encourage you to bring all of your personal decorations, table cloths, food/beverages, plates, cups, napkins, eating utensils, and anything you need to make your event extra special.
Am I responsible for setting up and cleaning after my event?
Our staff will coordinate cleaning the facility and setting up tables and chairs prior to your event. Upon your scheduled arrival time, you will have access to the building and will be responsible for decorating the space.
After your event, you are responsible for:
- Removing your decorations.
- Taking out the trash.
- Turning off televisions, lights, and kitchen appliances.
- Setting the thermostat at an appropriate temperature.
- Locking the front door.
Do you offer any discounts?
- All Enhanced Members (Blue, Gold, and Forever Rider members) of the Alumni Association receive a 20% discount on all rentals.
- Forever Mulerider Members receive a free full-day rental (one time only).
What kind of tables are available?
We have eight 6-ft round tables (seat 6 chairs per table) and 16 8-ft rectangle tables (seat 6 chairs per table) for guests. Please remember to count your tables for food, drinks, and gifts in the total amount of tables you’d like to reserve.
What type of amenities do you offer?
We are happy to offer our customers the following:
- Kitchen: Refrigerator, two sinks, oven, stovetop, dishwasher, and small ice maker.
- Sound system: For the Great Room, we recommend playing your music through the TV screens, but we can also set up an additional sound system if microphones are needed or your event is outside.
- Podium: We have an acrylic podium that is available for request (if it is not currently in use).
- We will provide you with a laptop and offer a projector and TV screens to display your presentation.
- Private Parking
- Multi-stall restrooms with changing tables.
