What is Legacy Lane?
Legacy Lane is a walkway paved with inscribed bricks that links the newly-renovated SAU Alumni Center to Wilkins Stadium. A warmly-embraced tradition for our Mulerider family, “Legacy Lane” is the path taken by Mulerider fans from the pre-game festivities of Mulegating to the football field during the University’s home games.
The purchase of a brick not only allows you to leave a lasting impression on campus, but your purchase acts as a charitable donation, with funds leading future generations of Muleriders to success.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different than the Graduate Walk bricks in the SAU Mall Area? Starting in the early 2000’s, SAU started the tradition of providing bricks for graduates as a part of the graduation fee. These bricks cannot be customized and are located in the Mall Area. Legacy Lane bricks are located at the SAU Alumni Center and are fully customizable. If you are a graduating senior and will already receive a brick on the Graduate Walk, you do not need to purchase an extra brick.
How often are bricks laid? We do our best to place engraved bricks 2-3 times per year, but this depends on when we meet our minimum quota for our engraving vendor. When you brick has been engraved and placed, we will send you a coaster replica.
Can I buy a brick for a loved one? Yes! To purchase the brick as a gift, click the order button below and on the form you will have the opportunity to indicate who the gift is for, a mailing address to notify them, and the name the gift should be from.
